For Portland, ME based wife and husband team, Jessica and Ryan W. Richards, the creative process of music-making is never separated from their efforts to stay positive and hopeful in these times of global crisis. Their music reflects their search for wisdom, their journey toward growth, and their dedication to contributing to a more compassionate and peaceful world.  Like doves carrying messages of peace, they share their songs with the hope that they may support the growth of others.

Originally from Paris, France, Jessica met Ryan while both were living abroad in Shanghai, China. Over years of writing and performing in each other’s bands and collaborating on commercial music productions, they saw their chemistry evolve from collaborators to best friends, to life partners, and finally to parents.  Building on their talents for songwriting and performance, Jessica and Ryan have spent countless hours in recording studios, honing their skills as producers and engineers, their partnership able to support the full scope of the music production process.

In 2019, they created Dove Pax Productions, a production company and record label, to support their work and the work of like-minded artists and collaborators.  In addition to collaborating with visual artists like Berenice Golmann and Dean Merrill, Dove Pax Productions provides production and distribution support for The Institute for Contemplative Education, founded by Ryan’s father, Rev. Gola Wolf Richards.
